Bespoke Cottage Kitchen
The client’s brief was clear: “We want a new kitchen that feels like it has always been there.” After several conversations to understand their vision, I created a design that honoured both their wishes and the character of the cottage itself. The client was offered a choice of wood and fittings selected to match the property’s original features, ensuring the new space would sit naturally within its surroundings.
Every piece of the kitchen was handcrafted with care - bespoke cupboards with soft-close hinges, drawers built in the same style, and units designed precisely to fit the space. Once installed, the client applied a hand-painted finish, adding another layer of individuality and charm. The result is a kitchen that is timeless, full of character, and perfectly at home in this country cottage.
Decked
Area
The client wanted a stylish but traditional decked area out from their patio doors. So this is what I came up with. A generous sized deck using yellow Balau from Southeast Asia. which with its high-density makes it extremely durable, a great chose for decking!
To complement the decking for the handrail I used Iroko a stable African tropical hardwood, that again is highly durable this makes it a perfect match for an outdoor project. Not only do the materials used work really well they also look great too.
This goes to show that a simple design can still be extremely eye catching and practical.
